Blowin' in the wind

When Oasis first toured Australia, Noel Gallagher commented during an interview that he was looking forward to seeing "the bush" since he had heard so many people going on about it. However, he realised that "the bush" was referring to the Australian country side and not one sacred tree in the style of Moses and his burning tree.

Similarly, I was under the same impression in regards to sakura, or the cherry blossoms. Since sakura is spoken of so highly, looked forward by many and generally revered by all, I thought that sakura trees were found in special places such as temples, castles and special parks. However, with the sakura season (more like a week it seems) about to finish round are way, I discovered that this was not the case. In actual fact, sakura can be found everywhere, from Tsurugajo (the castle in town)...

...to in and around my school...

...and literally right outside my house.

Spaces for sakura viewing are available right outside my bathroom. Bring your own chairs and drinks.
