The test

A part of me always wanted to be a spirit and hover over my own funeral to see how much people would be missing me and all that jazz. Clearly that part of me is the macabre and egotistical part.

Whilst that won't be happening for a while (knock on wood) I'm doing the next best thing: heading home for a week and a bit in May and basking in love and glory. Or maybe not. Already there a million and 2 things that I have to do whilst in town and most of it revolves around food. I can't how I have taken simple things like a kebab or Vietnamese beef noodles for granted. Ah.

Of equal importance, is how I'll take to being back home. A lot of JETs have experienced reverse culture shock: that is, being taken aback by the cultural differences between [insert nationality] and Japanese culture and not knowing how to act. It'll be interesting to see how I'll see Sydney and its disorginisation, faux-metropolis facade and false promises. Ah, how I love thee, Sydney. No, really...

MMMMmmmmm kebab, we can get them here, but it's just not the same when it's counted as an exotic delicacy as opposed to a 7 buck end of the night pre-spew appetizer.

I know. There's something about cheap and dirty food being more delicious...and then inducing spew.
