White powder for the masses

Whilst it did snow over the Christmas and New Years break, the past weekend's snowfall has probably been the first serious snowfall during my watch.

It seems that the snow has fallen at an appropriate time since everyone has been talking about and/or gagging for some snow boarding action. I passed on breaking my skiing/boarding virginity since I was broke sick with a cold. But the season stretches until early May so I'm sure I'll have many an opportunity to go and shred up the snow. Or whatever it is that you do on a snowy mountain. Still, the snow fall in town meant that I didn't miss out.

For now, the snow has been tolerable. Whilst it has been a tad restrictive (I wanted to check out a New Year's market but it decided to snow when I stepped outside and stopped when I stepped back in. Naturally.) the novelty of doing things in the snow for the first is interesting. Still, I wonder how long the novelty will last for before it becomes tiresome and I go postal.

I'll keep you informed.

Well at least you've GOT weather. I feel like groundhog day- each one cool and clear blue in the morning, warm in the afternoon and soothing at sunset- again and again and again... We won't get snow but they say by April we will be cooking, and then? The Monsoon.

Still, it IS pleasant and does deliver the proper cuddle temperature each morning- could be worse eh?

"...clear blue in the morning, warm in the afternoon and soothing at sunset..." you're cruising for a bruising, Reno!

The constant drab/snow/rain has brought spirits down. I have become a believer of seasonal affective disorder. Though it means that whenever there is a fine day, it makes the day even more cherished; absence makes the heart grow fonder, ey?
