A start of sorts
I never knew but trying to keep track of the dawning of the new year across different time zones and countries is hard work. That expensive beer I ordered soon after the New Year came in Korea (where I was) was justified I guess.
I ended 2008 by having money problems, plucking a grey hair from my head and standing naked as I watched the final sunset of the year. I hope these things do not become a trend for 2009.

Happy new year, belatedly. I ended the year by drowning it in champagne, reds, whites, sake and a variety of whiskeys, one for each month of the year. Good times.
